Scott T. Mumma, Chairman

Scott is an experienced executive with growth oriented privately held businesses. In that capacity he has successfully handled merger and equity transactions collectively totaling more than $300 million and equity financing totaling more than $100 million. Additionally, he has served in an operating capacity as a Chief Financial Officer, Chief Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of privately held companies. This combination of operating, financial and legal experience makes him uniquely qualified to handle all aspects merger and financing activities. Mr. Mumma has also acted as a business consultant to larger multi-national companies including Mars, Inc., Marsh and McLennan Companies, Racetrac Petroleum, Inc., Russian Railways, Barrick Gold Corporation, Rolf Group (Russia) and others. Mr. Mumma holds a Bachelor’s degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Dickinson College (Carlisle, PA), a Master’s degree in finance and investment analysis from Exeter University (England) where he was a Rotary International Scholar and a Juris Doctorate degree from the Dickinson School of Law (Carlisle PA).

Rick Gurba, President

Rick is an experienced leader and entrepreneur with privately-held business, education and healthcare entities. He has successfully developed business plans that led to improved sales and marketing efforts, streamlined service delivery and processes, expanded staff and service into new territories and positioned each for success into the future. His most recent accomplishment was increasing sales 400% during his tenure as the National Sales & Marketing Director at Med Media, Inc. This led to the company acquisition in 2009 by EMSystems, LLC.

Earlier in his career, Rick managed an urban, hospital-based advanced life support paramedic service in York, Pennsylvania, and later served as the Director of EMS Training at Harrisburg Area Community College. There, he managed the delivery of EMS certification and continuing education programs to nearly half of the counties in Pennsylvania. He also led a team that developed the EMS Management and EMS Academy curricula. He also participated in teaching one of the first Emergency Medical Technician classes in Kerala, India.

Rick received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Emergency Health Services Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 1996. He also holds his Pennsylvania Paramedic Certification earned after graduating Harrisburg Area Community College’s Paramedic program in 1988. He also is a national Instructor Trainer for VFIS based in York, Pennsylvania. Rick authored the text Highway Safety for Emergency Service Personnel, 2002, and authored many articles on business services and technology. Rick is an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Rick continues his professional education by completing technology certifications including his Cisco Certification in 2011.

Bryan Ebbert, Director of Technology

Prior to working with Digital Planet, Bryan began his career as a Technical Support Specialist for Med Media. He was involved in many technological aspects of the company, including supporting customers, database management and was responsible for the entire development life cycle for various internal and external websites and web applications. In 2002, he was named Director, Support Services and took on a supervisory role for the technical support team. In 2006, adding to his list of responsibilities, he served as the lead developer for a patient tracking application at both the client and server level. In addition, he was the lead software engineer for a web application that managed data and shared information to promote hospital awareness, coordinate logistics and enhance operations. Bryan's efforts helped Med Media get acquired by EMSystems, LLC in 2009 - allowing Bryan to experience a business going from startup to acquisition.

Bryan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Information Systems from Shippensburg University in 2000. While at Shippensburg University, he had an internship with Citicorp (now Citigroup) where he experienced working for one of the largest banks in the world. This experience enabled him to see software development from a global perspective and its goals of achieving CMM (Capability Maturity Model) Level 2.
